My name is Andra S. Ewton. I am a professional animal Reiki practitioner, Certified Reiki Master-Teacher and owner of Andra’s Animal Reiki Therapy, “The perfect complement to veterinary care." It is wonderful to be here, participating in Holistic Tucson Online!

Bottom line I am an animal person. Yes, people have a wonderful and treasured place all of their own in my world, but it is in being around animals and Nature where I consistently find my zone. They are my heart. Since childhood, I have been tending to animals in need, and looking back, see that being a healer came naturally. I was already spontaneously placing my hands on animals to transmit healing as a way to calm injured animals long before Reiki found me in 1999.

My certification as a Usui Reiki Master-Teacher was completed in 2005 followed by Karuna Practitioner One and Two training. My entire energy healing education was received from Mega R. Mease at The Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics.

Now, more than ten years since my first Reiki experience, and many animal Reiki recipients later, I offer in-person as well as distance Reiki sessions for animals of all kinds, both domestic and wild. Much like people, there are many reasons to choose Reiki for animals. Stress-reduction and relaxation from Reiki often promotes optimum health as well as frequently contributes to pain reduction, quicker recovery times, improved immune response, balanced digestion, lessened fear response, gentle birth, peaceful transition, and much, much more.

As an Animal Communicator, the animal shows me and my hands where to go in the session for maximum benefit rather than serve as a verbal conduit between animal and human. For added support, complementary services include Nutritional Guidance and Bach Flower Essence Therapy.

My specialty is teaching Animal-oriented Reiki Basics training. These classes are small and tailored for pet owners who are interested in giving Reiki to their own animals and professionals who desire incorporating complementary methods into their practice. They are available at the CAET or in-house at professional veterinary clinics.
